HOW WE STARTED…

EZ Living was founded back in June 2011 by John and Hattie Holcombe. The vision was simple, helping people in the community with mental disabilities, senior citizens, and war veterans. EZ Living was started with $10,000, a heap full of hope, and two separate prayers, one from John and one from Hattie. Hattie, on the other hand, had envisioned in her mind a state-of-the-art 28-bed facility featuring a 32-member Staff, 1 Executive Chef, 2 Sous Chefs, 5 Nurses, 10 CNA’s and a groundskeeper! After bringing this very BIG idea back to John, he just looked at her and said….. “Hattie”, was his way of saying “Aint No Way” to those that knew John he really meant hell no. After the daunting “NO” from John, Hattie figured out a way to make that $10,000 look like $10,000,000. Now back to the reason we are here today, after a lot of driving around and scouting locations. EZ Living was born on  East Mount Road on the Northeast side of Houston, Texas. A humble 4 bedroom 3 bathroom that Hattie believed to be perfect. With only $7.26 left in her budget after expenses, she and John were pleased. Years and years went by with the two of them building the EZ Living brand. 

     The Jensen (EZ Living) House is what Hattie called the “Diamond in the Rough.” Featuring a beautifully renovated 42 bed 13 bathroom facility ready for your loved ones to call home. Features include 6 private bedrooms, double kitchens, laundry room, plus security features with 24-hour surveillance cameras, a security gate, a separate smoking area, a garden, a recreation room, quiet room, therapy room, library, and state-of-the-art nurses station.
